The Mischievously Philosophic and the Serenely Wild

Thanks to Em the Luddite for the perfect suggestions for code names for my kids. Calvin and Hobbes it is! Calvin, "the mischievously philosophic," for my three-year-old, and Hobbes, "the serenely wild," for my 18-month-old. The descriptions couldn't fit more perfectly.

Now for that tag line...

Yeah, I thought of that. But I know this is about the cartoon character, not the theologian. We live in the 21st century around here, not the 16th! And you can post a link to my blog without my name. Thanks!

Calvin and Hobbes! I love it, even if I haven't had the joy of being around your boys enough to know their personalities that well.

As for a tag line, hmmmm, my creative brain is on hiatus at the moment, but maybe I'll be struck by inspiration at some point.

But are you naming them after the cartoon characters, or the originals? Because my understanding is that the cartoonists patterned the one after the opposite - meaning, Calvin was really Hobbes and vice versa...

Catherine, we are definitely going for the cartoon characters here. They get way more attention in our house than the theologian and philosopher...we're just not that reformed or pessimistic!
