Be Still, My Soul

Thinking today of my dear friend, who is one of the most beautiful, strong, compassionate women I know.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

I included that song among the ones we sand during worship times at the retreat last weekend. The words are so powerful to me.

And I need to hear them again this morning and to pray them for another friend who is suffering today. Thanks for sharing.

"To guide the future as He has the past" ... wow. I think that is what I am afraid of sometimes.
Thank you for your friendship and your prayers. Both help sustain me. Love you.
