"I think I'll move to Australia."

Today was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Calvin woke up whining and being defiant and didn't stop all day.

Hobbes decided picking fights with his brother was a good way to spend the day, the whole day.

It was too hot and muggy to play outside.

I really needed a nap and a break from kids.

Calvin took a nap for the first time this week, but Hobbes woke up 15 minutes after his brother went to sleep.

It was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

My mom says some days are like that, even in Australia.

A little Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck seems like the perfect cure.

Around here, we often look at one another and say "Some days are like that, even in Australia."

In our house, growing up, we used to have a place-mat that had a Dr. Suess quote and picture on it: "Dad is sad, very, very sad, he had a bad day, what a day dad had!" and whoever had had the worst day got that special place-mat at dinner time. And afterward we would often read "Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day".

Praying for moments of grace for you in the middle of the summer blahs.

My dearest friend, I know how you feel! I fight those same types of battles everyday. Somedays I just want to take my hair off and throw it at someone. lol Hang in there, as trying as they can be at the end of the day you made it through. And hey, you get to get up and do it all over again. I hope that today goes better than the one before. I'll pray for you and you pray for me. :)
