Funny...I was just moping today after counting how few of our months our spent in summer, or even spring and fall. I guess the grass is always more sun-scorched on the other side... :)

Oh, I don't miss Illinois winters, either. I know the perfect place. The Blue Ridge mountains have four seasons that are just about 3 months each. Winter is just cold enough for a few good snows and summer is just hot enough to make swimming in swimming holes fun. And Spring and Fall are like heaven! People think I am never happy where I am, but that is only because I no longer get to live in my mountains.

Spring and fall in the Blue Ridge mountains. Deep, homesick sigh.

All my Stateside blogger friends seem to be writing about the heatwave. For once, they're envious of our Scottish weather (75 degrees and clear skies).

I'll pray for rain and cooler temps (for you)!

It is very nice to live here in the mountains-but at the moment it is very hot here too.

It's been upper 90s here in South Carolina all week. Fortunately, the family and I will be vacationing in the North Carolina mountains the week after next. Hopefully, I'll make it till then.
