Faking the Rapture

This is too funny!

Faking the Rapture

I know some people love the Left Behind series. I confess that I have never read them. They may be good fiction, but they are just fiction. I was appalled to learn that a church my in-laws attended at one time actually had a Sunday School class that used the books. From what little I know of the story, I think they are a pretty bad interpretation of Revelation, at least not methodologically sound enough for Sunday school material. But you can ask me about that some other time. If you feel the same way, you'll enjoy the video. (Thanks for the tip, hubby.)

You said "they may be good fiction..."

Alas, they are not even that. Not even close. I made myself read the first four so I could feel justified in disliking them. I am justified.

Yet, I know people who were led to Christ via them so I guess I won't judge too much...

That YouTube video made me giggle and role my eyes. :-)

Catherine, I'm not sure even their leading people to Christ justifies them...though Paul did have something to say about that in Philippians (whether by false motive or true...).

Elizabeth, I'm glad I could make you giggle in the midst of your stress.

Oh, I'm not saying it justifies them just that...I'll take a humble stance (or try to?) in disliking them...
